Wesley Witherspoon added by Air21 Express

Wesley Witherspoon (205 cm, Memphis’12) has been selected by Air21 Express (Philippines-PBA) to be their import for the Commissioner’s Cup. The former San Antonio Spurs swingman is making the move from French Pro B team Hermine Nantes Atlantique. Before his departure, Wesley managed to appear in 16 games in the French league where he posted averages of 9.6 ppg and 3.4 rpg.

In 2012-13 he played for the San Antonio Spurs, but was assigned to their D-League affiliate, the Austin Toros. A month later he moved to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers where he averaged 4.7 ppg and 1.1 rpg in 15 games. In March 2013 he transferred to the Eerie Bay Hawks (D-League) and there he played 11 games and delivered averages of 4.7 ppg and 2.9 rpg.
