Unicaja announces Earl Calloway

Unicaja Malaga kept building a new roster for the 2012-13 season as on early Monday it announced the arrival of guard Earl Calloway for the next two campaigns. Calloway (1.90 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Banca Civica of Spain, a club that didn’t match the Unicaja offer for the player, therefore allowing him to sign for the Malaga team. Last season, Calloway averaged 7.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists with Banca Civica, the team where he arrived in 2009. With Banca Civica he was part of the team that played the Eurocup title game against Unics Kazan in 2011 in Treviso, Italy. He played college ball from 2002 to 2007 in several colleges including New Mexico, Georgia Perimeter and Inidiana. In 2007-08 he played in the D-league with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants but in the next season he moved to Europe to play with KK Cibona Zagreb of Croatia, where he made his debut in the Euroleague and won the Croatian League and Cup plus reached the title game of the Adriatic League. It was then that he moved to Spain to join Banca Civica in Sevilla until this summer. 2012-13 will mark Calloway’s return to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague.
