Tre Kelley lands with Caciques de Humacao

Tre Kelley

Tre Kelley (183, South Carolina ’07) is now with Caciques de Humacao (Puerto Rico-BSN). He debuted with the team yesterday and found himself 20 minutes of playing time. Kelley scored four points and dished seven assists with three rebounds. The point guard does a great job getting other players involved as well as scoring. He did that with his former team, Best Balikesir (Turkey-BSL). In the 17 games in Turkey, Kelley scored 13.2 ppg while dishing 3.4 apg. Shooting from the perimeter has been one of the weak spots in his game. With Best Balikesir he shot 28.9 percent from three and only attempted 45 shots.

Now he heads to the BSN in Puerto Rico for the second time in his career. His new team, Humacao, is off to a rough start. They are currently 10-19 which puts them in last in the standings. The addition of Kelley should provide veteran leadership to the point guard position. He will help the team get open shots as well as scoring himself. Watch for the team to improve with Kelley on the roster.
