Toney McCray joins Olimpas Plunge

Toney McCray (198 cm, Nebraska’12) is taking his talents to Europe, specifically to the Olimpas Plunge from Lithuania’s NKL. He played his rookie pro season with the Toros Nuevo Laredo from Mexico’s LNBP.

Olimpas is currently third in the NKL standings with a record of 21-9, three games behind the league-leading Mazekiai team. McCray is the team’s first and only import thus far and it will be interesting to see how he fares in his transition from South America to Europe.

Even though the 24-year-old is still green as far as international hoops is concerned, he did manage to play four full years of college ball. In his senior year at Nebraska, Toney McCray averaged 9.9 ppg and 4.6 rpg.
