Tarence Kinsey joins Victoria Libertas Pesaro

Tarence KinseyTarence Kinsey (200 cm, South Carolina’06) signed a new contract with Victoria Libertas Pesaro (Italy-SerieA) for the rest of the 2012-13 season. Most recently Kinsey was with Anadolu Efes Istanbul (Turkey-TBL) in 2011-12, where he averaged 8.2 ppg over 9 Euroleague games and 8.1 ppg in 28 Turkish League games. He played two seasons with Fenerbahce Ulker, 2009-10 and 2010-11, where he averaged 10.1 ppg in 10 Euroleague games in 2009-10 and 8.4 ppg in 14 Euroleague contests in 2010-11.

Tarence KinseyKinsey also has three years of NBA experience, he went undrafted out of college, but was picked up by the Memphis Grizzlies after playing for their squad in the Summer Pro league in 2006. He played 48 games in a Grizzlies uniform in 2006-07, averaging 7.7 ppg on 20.1 minutes per game. In 2007-08 played 11 games and was released, but was signed by Fenerbahce for the rest of their season and saw court time in 12 Euroleague games, averaging 8.8 ppg. He also got in 25 Turkish league matches and dropped in 10.2 ppg. He was signed as a free agent by the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2008-09 season, playing in 50 games and contributing 2.0 ppg in 5.5 minutes per game. Kinsey was a four-year member of the South Carolina Gamecocks basketball squad, playing in 127 games over those four seasons. He compiled a career scoring average of 9.8 ppg, with his high being 15.8 ppg his senior season. The Gamecocks competed in the NCAA tournament his sophomore season (2003-04) getting ousted from the competition by Memphis in the first round.
