Steve Tchiengang joins The Island Storm

Cameroonian international player Steve Tchiengang Noubissie (205 cm, Vanderbilt’12) has been added by The Island Storm from Canada’s NBL for the 2013-14 season. Steve began the 2012-13 season with the D-League’s Santa Cruz Warriors, but was released by the team in November 2012.

In January 2013 he headed to Qatar’s D1 league where he played for Al Jaysh Army SC Doha. In nine games, Tchiengang averaged 6.3 ppg and 10.6 rpg. Al Jaysh reached the Qatar league and Qatar Emir Cup semifinals and was a finalist in the Qatar Heir Apparent Cup in 2013.
