Stefan Markovic signs with Banvit BK

Turkish TBL team Banvit Basketbol Kulubu has landed Serbian Stefan Markovic (194 cm) for the 2013-14 season. Markovic has been a long-time member of the Serbian National Team. He’s been representing Serbia from 2007 up to the present. He was present when his nation competed in the 2013 Eurobasket in Slovenia.

Markovic spent the 2012-13 season playing in Spain’s Liga Endesa for Valencia Basket. In 13 Eurocup games Stefan was able to average 5.9 ppg and 4.7 apg, helping his team reach as far as the semifinals. In 34 games in the Spanish league he hit averages of 5.3 ppg and 4.1 apg. He helped his club reach the Copa Del Rey Finals and the Spanish ACB Supercup semifnals in 2013.
