Shawn Long (208 cm, La-Lafayette) is taking his game to China after landing a deal to play for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers (China-CBA) this 2017. Long was recently waived by the Houston Rockets in September. The 24-year-old big man will be an important piece in the Flying Tigers’ frontcourt puzzle this season. In 2016-17 Long played 17 games for the Philadelphia 76ers where he averaged 8.7 ppg and 4.9 rpg. That season he also played for the Sixers’ D-League affiliate, the Delaware 87ers. He logged 39 games with them and dropped averages of 20.2 ppg and 11.2 rpg.
