Shawn James let go by Buducnost

Montenegrin powerhouse KK Buducnost Voli Podgorica (Montenegro-Erste Liga) has opted to part ways with Shawn James (208 cm, Northeastern’08) this 2016. The 33-year-old big man played a dozen games for them in the ABA League and averaged 9.8 ppg and 6.4 rpg. He also played four games in the Eurocup and in that arena James delivered averages of 9.2 ppg and 4.0 rpg.

He played the 2015-16 season with Bilbao Basket (Spain-Liga Endesa). He played seven games for them during their run in the 2016 Eurocup and was able to produce averages of 8.4 ppg and 5.3 rpg. He was solid on defense with 2.1 bpg and 1.1 spg. Shawn also logged eight games in the domestic Spanish league and there he posted averages of 9.8 ppg and 5.8 rpg. In December 2015, James moved to Olympiacos S.F.P. Pireus (Greece-A1). In five Euroleague games he averaged 3.4 ppg and 1.6 rpg. He played five games in the Greek league as well and there he posted averages of 4.4 ppg and 2.6 rpg.
