Shamari Spears returns to London Lightning

Shamari Spears (198 cm, Charlotte’11) is returning to the London Lightning from Canada’s NBL. He started off the 2012-13 season playing for the Lightning, but moved to Instituto Profesional Virginio Gomez from Chile’s DIMAYOR League.

In the 2011-12 season, Spears averaged 13.2 ppg and 4.1 rpg for the Lightning in 38 games. In 2012 the team was the NBL’s Regular Season Champion and proceeded to win the Canadian Championship as well.

As a member of Charlotte’s starting five in the 2010-11 season, the 27-year-old averaged 17.0 ppg and 3.2 rpg.
