Former NBA forward Ryan Gomes (201 cm, Providence’05) has been released by Laboral Kutxa Vitoria (Spain-Liga Endesa). The American player who also holds a passport from Cape Verde played one game for Laboral Kutxa in the Euroleague and scored eight points and grabbed seven rebounds, in just six minutes of action. He logged two less minutes in his lone game in the Spanish league, but just scored two points.
Ryan had a short 2013-14 season in the NBA. He started off with the Oklahoma City Thunder, but was only able to play in five games before departing. He averaged just 1.2 ppg and 0.8 rpg in just 6.6 minutes per game. In January 2014 he signed with the Boston Celtics. He did not manage to see any playing time in Boston and left the team shortly.
