Ryan Blankson transfers to Atenas

Ryan Blankson

Ryan Blankson (201 cm, Loyola, Illinois’03) has been a long-time veteran of Uruguayan basketball. In 2013-14 Blankson has agreed to terms with Atletico Atenas Montevideo (Uruguay-LUB). Blankson is an American player who also holds a passport from Ghana.

In 2012-13 the big man played for Union Atletica (Uruguay-LUB). He logged 37 games for them and averaged 9.2 ppg and 10.5 rpg. Blankson started the 2011-12 season playing for Guruyu Waston (Uruguay-LUB). He played 16 games for them in the Uruguayan league and averaged 10.8 ppg and 7.6 rpg. 2012 marked the beginning of a busy year for him as he signed with Atletico Aguada in January, then moved to Malvin. Ryan played 12 games for Malvin in the Uruguayan league and hit averages of 4.5 ppg and 5.8 rpg. He played a couple of games for them in the Liga Sudamericana, averaging just 1.0 ppg.
