Romain Sato (194 cm, Xavier’04) will play in the Spanish ACB for the first time this season after penning a deal with Valencia Basket. It may come as a surprise that the swingman has yet to sample Spanish Basketball especially as he has been one of the most consistent European based performers in recent years. The Central African has plied his trade for some of the continent’s top clubs including Italian giants Montepaschi Siena, Greek juggernauts Panathinaikos Athens, and famed Turkish team Fenerbahce Istanbul.
Romain Sato has huge experience in the Euroleague and has played in the competition for the last six seasons, winning the title in 2011 with Panathinaikos. During the 2012/2013 season with Fenerbahce the 32-year old played 23 Euroleague games and averaged 7.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
