Real Madrid decimates Fenerbahce in EuroLeague classic

Real Madrid made another stellar performance and decimated Fenerbahce on the road (65-94) in another EuroLeague classic.

The “Whites” handed the Turks one of their worst defeats ever on their home in the EuroLeague.

The result ensured Real at least a share of second place with a 19-6 record. For its part, Fenerbahce fell to 11-14 and remains outside the playoff zone.

Olympiacos claimed its fourth consecutive home win after rallying past ASVEL Villeurbanne (77-68).

The “Reds” improved to 11-14 in the EuroLeague standings, whereas ASVEL dropped to 9-16, suffering its seventh straight road loss.

Khimki snapped its eight-game road losing streak following a 69-78 victory over Armani in Milan.

Both teams now have identical records in the EuroLeague (11-14), yet the Russians swept the season series against the Italians.

A 0-15 run early in the third quarter was enough for Khimki to take the lead and never look back.

Armani never got closer than four points and has now lost three straight matches.

Alexey Shved was the top scorer with 18 points and 6 assists, while Jonas Jerebko collected 16 points and 12 rebounds.

ALBA Berlin rallied from a double-digit second-half deficit on the road to edge Zenit 81-83.

The win raised the Germans’ EuroLeague record to 9-16, whereas Zenit remains with a league-worst 7-18 record.

Despite the debut of head coach Xavi Pascual, the Russians failed to earn the win and are still on the bottom of the standings.

Zalgiris Kaunas claimed their fourth victory in the last five EuroLeague games after dominating Baskonia at the Fernando Buesa Arena (60-74).

Zalgiris improved to 10-15 in the standings, whereas Baskonia has a 9-16 record.

Edgaras Ulanovas had 15 points for the winners, with Lukas Lekavicius and Zach LeDay adding 13 and 11, respectively.

Semaj Christon paced the Basques with 17 points and Tornike Shengelia contributed 12 for the hosts.
