Raphael Desroses joins Antibes

Raphael Desroses

Raphael Desroses (199 cm) has agreed to terms with the Antibes Sharks (France-ProB) on a medical freelance until February 28, 2013 for Shaun Fein. Desroses was most recently with Limoges (France-ProA), but was released due to serious misconduct. During a match, Desroses punched a billboard, slightly injuring his hand and rendering him unavailable for 10 days. Club management weren’t happy with his performances both on and off the court and released him. As a former ProB League MVP, Antibes is thrilled to get him and he’ll be available on Friday for their contest against Bourg-en-Bresse. This was the start of Desroses’ fourth season with Limoges, having joined the club during the 2009-10 campaign while they were in ProB. He came in and in 37 games, contributed 7.8 points per game. In 2010-11 the club moved to ProA and his average bumped up to 8.9ppg in 30 contests. Last season they were dropped back to ProB and he turned in 10.7ppg over 41 games. This season, again they moved back to ProA and in seven games Desroses had tallied 5.6 points per game over 18.4 minutes per game, with a high of 13 points against Gravelines.
