Rakeem Christmas (206 cm, Syracuse’15) has bid his goodbye to the NBA for now and is taking his game to Europe, signing with Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul (Turkey-BSL). Christmas started his 2016-17 season playing for the Indiana Pacers. In 28 games, Rakeem recorded averages of 2.1 ppg and 2.0 rpg. He was also sent down the NBA D-League for a stint with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. The forward played nine games for the D-League club and posted averages of 9.4 ppg and 5.8 rpg. He played for the Pacers in this year’s Summer League but failed to land himself a spot on their roster for the upcoming season.
