Young Icelandic big man Ragnar Nathanaelsson (218 cm) will get an opportunity to play outside of his home Iceland for the first time as a pro this 2013-14. Nathanaelsson, a member of the Icelandic National Team in 2009 and 2013, is moving to the Sundsvall Dragons from Sweden’s Basketligan. He was playing for Thor Thorl (Iceland-Dominos League) before jumping to the Swedish club, this season. In 26 games Ragnar averaged 15.4 ppg and 12.9 rpg.
Thor Thorl was only his second team. He spent majority of his career playing for Hamar from Iceland’s D1. In Nathanaelsson’s last season with Hamar he posted averages of 9.1 ppg and 11.8 rpg.
