Osvaldas Olisevicius joins S. Oliver Wuerzburg

Osvaldas Olisevicius (200 cm) is heading to S. Oliver Wuerzburg (Germany-BBL). This is the first move to Germany for the Lithuanian power forward. Previously, his entire career was spent in Lithuania, most recently with Pieno Zvaigzdez Pasvalys (Lithuania-LKL). Olisevicius has been with this Lithuanian team since the 2014/2015 season. Last season in 38 games he played 25.2 mpg and scored 12.5 ppg with 5.0 rpg. Olisevicius showed his ability to play as a stretch-four with a three-point percentage of 36.4 in the LKL.

Pieno Zvaigzdez Pasvalys also competed in the Baltic League last season. The team made it all the way to the Championship in the league but lost in the final round. Olisevicius was able to score 10.8 ppg in Baltic League play. He did shoot better from three with a 42.9 percent from deep.

Olisevicius now heads to the highest level of play in his young career. The 24-year-old will join S. Oliver Wuerzburg after a disappointing 2016/2017 season. The team went 11-21 in the BBL which was good for 14th in the standings.
