Former NBA big man Nikoloz Tskitishvili (212 cm) is reportedly headed to the United Arab Emirates after signing a deal to play for An Nahl Sharjah (D1) for the 2013-14 season. The 30-year-old Georgian player was drafted fifth overall by the Denver Nuggets in the 2002 NBA Draft. He has also been a member of the Georgian National Team in 2000-01, 2004-06, 2008-11 and 2013.
Tskitishvili started the 2012-13 season with Foolad Mahan Esfahan from Iran’s Superleague, but was released in November 2012. The next month, he signed with Champville from Lebanon’s Division A. There he was able in 27 games and averaged 17.9 ppg and 10.9 rpg.
