Nikola Radojicic arrested for drug smuggling

Lima, Peru – Serbian player Nikola Radojicic (196 cm) has been arrested by authorities. The 27-year-old Radojicic and his companion, Uros Dokic attempted to smuggle cocaine out of the country. Both men were escorted by the police to a hospital near the airport. X-rays revealed that Radojicic swallowed 23 capsules containing 10 grams of cocaine each, while Dokic swallowed nine.

According to Police Directorate for Combating Drugs, both men are members of a network of smugglers that supply drugs to Europe. In a statement made to the police, they claim that they were given the drugs by a Bulgarian who lives in Peru.

Nikola last played in Europe for SLUNETA Usti nad Labem (Czech Republic-NBL) during the 2012-13 season. He played just two games for the club and averaged 13.0 ppg and 2.5 apg.
