Nikola Mirotic Hospitalized, Punched by Teammate

Nikola Mirotic Chicago Bulls’ Nikola Mirotic had to be hospitalized after sustaining injuries from an altercation with a teammate during practice on Tuesday. The Spanish-Montenegrin forward got into a shoving match with Bobby Portis, who reportedly landed “cheap shot” and punched him in the face.

Mirotic was diagnosed with a concussion and also had two broken bones. He is being evaluated to see if he requires surgery. He is listed as being out indefinitely.

Portis will be facing suspension by the team. The Bulls have yet to come out with the specifics of his punishment but expect it to be harsh as the team would want to send a message that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated.
