Nigel Hayes signs with Galatasaray

 Nigel Hayes (203 cm, Wisconsin’17) will continue his professional basketball career in 2018-19 with Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul (Turkey-BSL). He played out his rookie campaign (2017-18) suiting up for various teams in the NBA and in the G-League.

Hayes, who was undrafted, played two games for the Los Angeles Lakers and averaged 1.5 ppg and 1 apg. In five games for the Sacramento Kings, he averaged 3.6 ppg and 4.4 rpg. He also played two games for the Toronto Raptors where he averaged 3.0 ppg.

Hayes ended up spending most of the season in the G-League. He logged five games for the Raptors 905 and posted averages of 7.0 ppg and 1.4 rpg. Hayes saw some reasonable success with the Westchester Knicks and there he notched averages of 16.1 ppg and 6.7 rpg.
