LSU upsets 9th-ranked Kentucky

Ben Simmons and the rest of the LSU Tigers played host to the Kentucky Wildcats and did not give their guests a warm welcome. Instead, the now 11-3 Wildcats were served a bitter serving of the taste of defeat 67-85. It appears that after a slow start to the season, the Tigers are finding their groove. One big factor is that some of its other players have found ways to step and relieve some of the pressure off Player-of-the-Year candidate Simmons. The multi-talented freshman was previously tasked to take over games just to get his team wins.

In this game it was Tim Quarterman who was responsible for leading the charge in upsetting Kentucky. He scored a team-high 21 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and handed out seven assists. Simmons Chimed in with 14 points and 10 rebounds of his own.

This game was all LSU, all the way. They dominated Kentucky in many key categories such as rebounding (46-32) and assists (17-8).

Kentucky Wildcats duo of Tyler Ulis and Jamal Murray scored 23 and 21 points respectively, but both players got little help from the rest of the team.
