NCAA: Five-star recruit, Jalen Johnson commits to Duke

NCAA

While things in the NBA have simmered down as the league awaits Kawhi Leonard’s decision on where he will be playing this upcoming season, the NCAA moves on.

The 2020 class is reportedly stacked with talent and high-caliber recruits are in no short supply. One such talented player is Jalen Johnson. He officially committed to play for Duke University and made the announcement on his personal Twitter account. And why not? Almost every major news item is broken on Twitter nowadays.

He’s scouted as a top-4 talent and was considering three other schools besides Duke as early as May. He will be joining Jeremy Roach, a five-star point guard who also decided on Duke, as the only five-star players to have committed so far.

Johnson is seen as a strong athlete who also possesses a high basketball I.Q. He could improve on his defense but is definitely someone to watch in the NCAA 2019-20 season.
