NBA Free Agency Rundown

It was a wild Sunday night in the best basketball league in the World as NBA free agency officially opened. From the get-go it appeared like the Brooklyn Nets were emerging as big winners, cleaning up and signing top-tier talent in the form of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and supporting their stars with a solid center in DeAndre Jordan.

The Knicks failed to land any big-named stars despite their cap space. Jimmy Butler surprisingly found his way to the Miami Heat via a sign-and-trade deal that’s actually still in the works of being finalized. Kawhi Leonard, reigning finals MVP, has yet to speak up regarding his decision but has scheduled a meeting with the top brass from the Lakers on July 2nd. It was a huge night as almost $2 billion in contracts were agreed upon in principle between teams and players.
