KK MZT Skopje Aerodrom completed a sweep of the Prva Liga Finals via a 93-84 victory over Kozuv Gevgelija. MZT Skopje’s successful defense of the Macedonian League Championship they won in 2012 has now established them as the dominant top team in the league.

Kozuv led for most of the game, keeping the visiting team in check for three quarters. It was a big, 40-point explosion by MZT Skopje in the final quarter that allowed them to overwhelm their opponents and come away with the surprise victory.

The winners were led by the combined efforts of three of their starters. Their back court duo of Montenegrin Boris Bakic (193 cm) and homegrown Damjan Stojankovski (197 cm) scored 18 and 21 points respectively. Gjorji Cekovski (203 cm) added 17  points of his own, rounding out the team’s balanced attack.

Kozuv was led by their starting front court Serbian tandem of Slobodan Bozovic (207 cm) and Miladin Pekovic (197 cm). Bozovic scored 24 points, while Pekovic added 22.
