Milwaukee Bucks Fire Jason Kidd

Jason Kidd The Milwaukee Bucks have fired head coach Jason Kidd. Kidd had been the head coach of the Bucks for over three seasons. He led the team to playoff appearances. Joe Prunty will serve as the team’s interim coach until a more permanent replacement can be found. Kidd was relieved of his duties because the team ownership felt the team was underachieving considering their stacked roster of talented young players. The Bucks are currently seventh in the Eastern Conference standings with a 24-22 record.

The team’s prized star player, Greek forward Giannis Antetokounmpo did not take the move well. He has built a very close relationship with his coach and was hoping to be able to make a difference.

“‘What can I do? I’ll call the owners, I’ll call my agent.” – Said Antetokounmpo

The 22-year-old phenom signed a 4-year deal with the team this season worth $100 million. He is their core player and has been the anchor on both ends of the floor.

Kidd took his being relieved in stride and in style, respecting the team’s decision.

“It’s a business,” he said. “That’s what people have to understand. People get fired, they get traded. It’s a job.”
