Dexter Pittman traded to Memphis Grizzlies

Dexter Pittman (208 cm, Texas’10) has been traded by the Miami Heat to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for the rights to Ricardo Sanchez (212 cm). Pittman has been buried deep in Miami’s bench and does not really fit the Heat’s small-ball style of offense. He’s only played four games for the defending champions in the 2012-13 and averaged 1.5 ppg and 1.8 rpg.

He moves to a team that will find more use of his size and talents. Coach Lionel Hollins of the Grizzlies has been seeking for a solid big man to back up their starting center, Spaniard Marc Gasol. This move gives the Memphis such a talent and at a relatively low cost.
