Mauricio Aguiar signed by Bucaneros

Mauricio Aguiar (197 cm) has been signed by the Bucaneros de La Guaira from Venezuela’s LPB. The veteran Italian-Uruguayan player has had professional experience playing in Italy, Uruguay and also previously in Venezuela.

Aguiar spent the last two seasons playing in Uruguay for Hebraica Macabi. In 2012-13 he played 38 games in the Uruguayan league and averaged 17.9 ppg and 3.1 rpg. He also played two games for them in the Liga Sudamericana and put up averages of 8.5 ppg and 3.5 rpg. In 2011-12 he played 41 games for Hebraica and averaged 17.2 ppg and 3.0 rpg.
