Matt Janning to return to Montepaschi

Matt Janning (193 cm, Northeastern’10) has announced on his Twitter page that he will return to Montepaschi Siena (Italy Serie A) for a second stint with the club. The American played for the current seven time champions and 2013/2014 Serie A pace setters during the 2012/2013 campaign. Last season the guard played forty games in the league for Montepaschi and averaged 6.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. In the Euroleague he took to the court in 21 games and logged numbers of 8.4 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.

Matt Janning flirted with the NBA during the summer before signing for KK Cibona VIP Zagreb (Croatia, A1) with an NBA out included in the early phase of the contract. The promising 25-year old played ten games in the Eurocup and thirteen in the Adriatic League for Cibona this season before leaving the troubled club.
