Marquise Gainous signed by Bayamon

Marquise Gainous (204 cm, TCU’00) has joined the Vaqueros de Bayamon from Puerto Rico’s BSN. He has already played his first game for Bayamon and made an immediate impact as he tallied 22 points and six rebounds. His addition comes in the wake of the release of Michael Sweetney by the team.

Gainous comes from playing a short stint in Liga Americas for Osos de Guadalajara from Mexico. In three games for the Osos Marquise averaged 16.7 ppg and 6.7 rpg. He transferred to the Osos after playing six games for Correcaminos UAT Victoria from the same league (LNPB), and averaged 17.5 ppg and 5.8 rpg.
