Marko Simonovic (201 cm) is a newcomer to Russian club, Zenit Saint Petersburg (Russia-VTB) for the upcoming 2017-18 season. Marko is an experienced 31-year-old Serbian player who has been a member of the Serbian National Team since 2014. He has spent most of his recent pro career playing for Serbian powerhouse, Crvena Zvezda MTS Beograd (Serbia-KLS). In 2016-17 Marko played 32 games for them in the ABA League where he posted averages of 10.2 ppg and 2.3 rpg. In 30 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games, Simonovic averaged 12.6 ppg and 3.6 rpg. He played 16 games in the Serbian league, there he produced averages of 9.1 ppg and 2.1 rpg.
