Markel Starks joins Vanoli Cremona

Markel Starks (188 cm, Georgetown’14) will be continuing his professional career this 2016 as a member of Vanoli Cremona (Italy-Serie A). The team is currently in the hunt for the top spot in the Italian Serie A standings and could use the reinforcements. Markel is coming off a stint playing in Australia for the Cairns Taipans (Australia-NBL). He appeared in a total of 26 games for them before his departure and recorded averages of 12.5 ppg and 2.3 apg. Starks played his rookie season as a pro (2014-15) with FCM Ferentino (Italy-A2), so he isn’t a stranger to Italian hoops. He played 34 games for them and posted averages of 14.7 ppg and 4.0 apg.
