Lubos Barton (202 cm, Valparaiso’02) has signed with German Bundesliga team New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig. The Czech National team player started the season in his native country where he played for USK Prague and averaged 17.4 ppg and 7.4 rpg in five NBL games. Lubos Barton has been among the European top-players for over a decade. Coming out of college in 2002 he started his career in Italy where he stayed for three season before moving to Spain where he played another seven seaons. In five of the last ten seasons Lubos Barton played for a Euroleague team. Although he averaged 15.1 ppg and 6.7 rpg in college and was the MVP of the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, Barton was not drafted and never played in the NBA.
