Lionel Chalmers signs for Sofia

Lionel Chalmers (184 cm, Xavier´04) has been signed by BC Levski Sofia of the Bulgarian NBL and will link up with the team for the start of the 2013/2014 season. The guard last played in the Turkish TBL for Aliaga Petkim throughout the 2012/2013 season. He played 28 games for Aliaga and recorded numbers of 15.0 points and 3.3 rebounds per game, while he also offered 3.3 assists and 1.0 steal per game.

Before joining Aliaga the American has spent two seasons in the Russian PBL playing for Lokomotiv Kuban. During the 2011/2012 season Lionel Chalmers played thirteen Eurocup games and averaged 4.8 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. That season he also played 13 VTB United and 15 Russian League games.

The experienced 32-year old has previously played in Spain, Italy, and Greece.
