Lewis Sims signs with Champville

Veteran international player Lewis Sims (203 cm, New Orleans’86) is headed to Lebanon’s Division A to play for Champville. The 37-year-old, who has American and Spanish citizenship, played for Ydra Asfalistiki ENAD Agios Dometicos from Cyprus’ Division A this 2012-13 season. In 19 games for ENAD Sims averaged 12.4 ppg and 4.7 rpg. He had to leave the team just before the playoffs due to its run in with financial difficulties.

In the 2011-12 season he signed with Cytavision Apoel Nicosia, also from Cyprus’ Division A. In 11 games he averaged 13.9 ppg. It was actually a return engagement between Sims and Apoel as he was also with the squad in the 2009-10 season. In 12 games in the EuroChallenge he averaged 16.8 ppg and 4.3 rpg. In 2010 the club was the Regular Season Runner-up, but won it all as the Cyprus League Champions.
