Khaliq Spicer (206 cm, Kent State’16) will begin his professional career this 2016-17 with a stint in Europe as he signs a deal to play for KK Tajfun Sentjur (Slovenia-Liga Nova KBM). He recently graduated from Kent State and in his senior year played 32 games for his alma mater and averaged 7.5 ppg and 6.2 rpg. Spicer is not shy on the defensive end of the floor and has proven to be a solid rim protector, averaging 1.6 blocks per game. Khaliq was named to the MAC All-Defensive Team and won the All-MAC Defensive Player of the Year award in 2016. Croatian head coach Kresimir Basic is expecting the athletic forward to make an impact this year.
