Kevin Magdowski to coach in Colombia

Kevin Magdowski is heading to pastures new after being named the new head coach of Aguilas de Tunja in the Colombia DirecTV Liga. This will be a significant change for the German coach. Not only has he never coached outside of Europe, he has never left Germany or Luxemburg in his career. Kevin Magdowski has been in various levels of Luxemburg Basketball for the last six seasons.

His last station was as chief tactician for the Kordall Steelers in the Luxemburg N2. Magdowski has been a head coach since 2003 and will now apply his experience in Colombia. Speaking of his coaching style, the German said:

“I want my team to play hard defense with a lot of intensity. I want to use a bigger rotation of players, so that we can always run fast and compete as a whole group against the other opponent.”
