John Tofi to stay with Aalstar

John Tofi (203 cm, UTEP’06) is staying with Generali Okapi Aalstar from Belgium’s Ethias League for next season. Tofi, an American who has roots in Samoa, has spent his entire pro career playing for Belgian teams.

He played 31 games for Aalstar this 2012-13 season and averaged 12.4 ppg and 5.9 rpg. Aalstar was a Finalist in the Belgian Cup this 2013. In 12 games in the EuroChallenge Tofi averaged 12.1 ppg and 6.2 rpg.

In the 2011-12 season he played for the Stella Artois Leuven Bears and he averaged 12.0 ppg and 5.6 rpg in 32 games.
