John Patrick stays with Ludwigsburg

John Patrick has extended his contract with Neckar Riesen Ludwigsburg (Germany, BBL Bundesliga) and will remain the head coach of the team for another two seasons. The agreement means the American will now coach Ludwigsburg through the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 seasons. The 45-year old joined the team in January of this year and could not steady the sinking ship so after a season of flirting with relegation the club dropped leagues. Although a potential wildcard could see Patrick and Ludwigsburg back in the BBL next season

John Patrick will now hope that he can build for next season and put together a more fruitful campaign during his first full year in charge at Ludwigsburg. The tactician has previously been the head coach with BC Goettingen where he finished regular season runner up in 2009.
