Joey Haywood joins Aalborg

Joey Haywood (185 cm, St. Marys’11) will play in Denmark this season after signing a deal with Aalborg Vikings (Ligaen). The shooting guard who holds a passport in Canada and Trinidad and Tobago was playing in the Canadian NBL for the last two seasons with the Halifax Rainmen. Last term he played forty NBL games and averaged well with 14.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game.

Those impressive states led to Joey Haywood featuring in the NBL All-Star game for the 2012/2013 season. During the 2011/2012 campaign with the Rainmen he played 43 games and averaged 12.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.
