It appears that Jerry Johnson (182 cm, Rider’05) has truly found a team he can call “home” in BK Astana (Kazakhstan-D1). The team is keeping him for the 2015/16 season. Johnson joined Astana way back in 2011 and has previously received a contract extension from the team in 2013. Johnson has been calling the plays for the team for several seasons now and has been a good member of the organization. During the 2014/15 season he played 10 games for them in the EuroChallenge and averaged 17.5 ppg and 7.0 apg. He appeared in nine games in the domestic league and there he posted averages of 12.0 ppg and 3.9 apg. Johnson logged 29 games for Astana in the VTB United League and was able to average 15.8 ppg and 8.0 apg.
