Jermaine Taylor leaves Spain for Israel

Jermaine TaylorJermaine Taylor (193 cm, Central Florida’09) is leaving Spanish ACB team Lagun Aro. He is heading to Israel, where he will join Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Jermaine Taylor played four years with Central Florida University, where he averaged 26.2ppg in his senior year.

In the 2009 NBA Draft he was picked by the Washington Wizards in the 2nd round as the 32nd pick overall. He’s seen court time in 65 NBA contests and has averaged 5.4 points per games.

Last season Jermaine Taylor started with the Liaoning Panpan Hunters (China-CBA), but then moved to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (US-D-League) where he averaged 7.1ppg over 26 games. He was picked up by the Minnesota Timberwolves as a free agent in Sept., 2012, but waived in Oct., 2012. Soon thereafter he joined Lagun Aro with whom he averaged 8.8 ppg in his 10 ACB games.
