Jeff Hornacek, new coach of Phoenix Suns

Jeff Hornacek began his professional basketball career when he was drafted by the Phoenix Suns in the 1986 NBA draft. He proceeded to play six straight seasons for the Arizona franchise. In 1992 he, along with two other players, were traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Charles Barkley. His history with the team makes him an understandable candidate to be the Suns’ new head coach.

Hornacek has spent the last three seasons on the Utah Jazz bench as an assistant coach. He will now be tasked to turn around a team that has fallen into a deep pit of loss this 2012-13 season. The Suns finished the season with the worst record in the Western Conference with a 25-57 record.
