James Mathis (200 cm, Niagara’06) is a fresh addition to the roster of the Lugano Tigers (Switzerland-LNA) this 2016-17. The 32-year-old Mathis is entering his second straight season playing in the Swiss LNA. In 2015-16 the Niagara product played for Union Neuchatel Basket (Switzerland-LNA). The experienced veteran logged a total of 40 games last season and was able to deliver averages of 13.8 ppg and 7.5 rpg. It was a productive campaign as he helped the club reach the Swiss Cup semifinals and the Swiss LNA finals in 2016. Mathis previously played for BBC Monthey (Switzerland-LNA) in 2013-14.
