Jamaal Franklin added by Zhejiang Lions

Jamaal Franklin (196 cm, San Diego State’13) will pursue his professional career in China this 2014-15 season, signing with the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (CBA). This July Franklin played for the Memphis Grizzlies’ Summer league team and was under consideration for a training camp contract. Unfortunately for the 23-year-old guard, he was released by the team in August 2014. In 2013-14 he was able to play 22 games for the Grizzlies but saw very minimal usage by the team and he averaged 1.8 ppg and 1.1 rpg. During the season Franklin spent some time with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA D-League and in 16 games he was able to average 15.8 ppg and 5.6 rpg.
