Ivan Maras (207 cm) has joined up with struggling Greek outfit Ilysiakos (A1) as the team continues its fight against potential relegation. The 26-year old Montenegrin has been playing with Etha Engomis Nicosia (Cyprus, Division A) since January and the power forward has recorded averages of 13.1 points and 6.0 rebounds per game over 14 games for the club.
Maras is joining with Ilysiakos as a replacement for Travis Garrison who has left over a financial dispute. The team is currently in 10th position in the A1 standing with a 7-15 record and relegation is still a possibility. Ivan Maras will make his debut this weekend and will be hoping he can help his new team reach safety for this season.
