Ivan Johnson back with Talk N Text

Ivan Johnson (203 cm, California State San Bernandino’07) is set to reunite with Filipino basketball club Talk N Text Tropang Texters (Philippines-PBA) this 2016. The veteran was originally supposed to play for Gipuzkoa San Sebastian (Spain-Liga Endesa) this 2015-16 season, but things did not work out. He previously played for Talk N Text in 2015 where he played 18 games for them as their import for the Commissioner’s Cup and he averaged 26.8 ppg and 12.7 rpg. He helped his team capture the Commissioner’s Cup championship in 2015, so it comes as no surprise that the team would want him back on their roster.

After his release from the Dallas Mavericks in 2014/5, Johnson signed with the Frisco Texas Legends of the NBA D-League. He played seven games for them and averaged 9.4 ppg and 4.6 rpg. He was released in February 2015.
