Ike Diogu picked up by DongGuan Leopards

The DongGuan New Century Leopards from China’s CBA will be bringing in Ike Diogu (204 cm, Arizona State’05) to strengthen their frontcourt this 2014-15. The former NBA forward is a Nigerian-American player who was a former member of the Nigerian national team from 2012-13. Diogu began the 2013-14 season with the New York Knicks but was released by the team. He made his way to the NBA D-League where he signed with the Bakersfield Jam. In 42 D-League games Ike averaged 18.6 ppg and 9.8 rpg. After the season, he returned to the Leones de Ponce (Puerto Rico-BSN). He played 38 games for them and averaged 16.8 ppg and 9.1 rpg, helping the club claim the 2014 Puerto Rico BSN championship.
