Frank Menz named German National Team Coach

Frank Menz was named the new head coach of the German National team today, replacing Svetislav Pesic, who left the post to take over as FC Bayern Munich’s coach.

Menz has been a coach within the German Federation since 2005, assisting Dick Bauermann in 2009 and 2011 at the European Championships and assisting Svetislav Pesic this summer at the EuroBasket 2013 Qualifying rounds. Menz has been the head coach of the U16 and U17 German National Teams, the German U20 National Team, the German University National Team and the German A2 National Team, prior to stepping into the assistant coaching roles with the Senior National Team.
